If you are single and don't have kids, why not find another job in a better place?

(Anonymous) 2013-04-19 03:51 am (UTC)(link)
Not that easy.

Lots of people are just pretty fucking grateful for the work they have right now.

that really sucks, op, but can't you seek information by yourself on how to improve your job? surely there are online forums, articles, etc. on being a better manager/shop employee/stocker/cashier/whatever-it-is-that-you-do that you could use?

Don't give up, OP--I'm 25 and had partially given up on finding a nice guy when I suddenly got asked out by a guy I'd liked for years this Valentine's Day. never say never, people find romance all the time, even into their 70s and older.

that being said, trying to get a job out of town might not be a bad idea, if you really dislike your area that much.

If you can't quit your job, ask for a transfer to another branch with people you might get on better with?

I'm the same age as you and I'm still working on getting into my career of choice. You're still young, don't beat yourself up over this. Look around and see if you can't save some money to move somewhere else and keep searching for possible opportunities for work.

As for love, well sometimes it comes to you when you least expect it too. If you focus on yourself and finding your own happiness first, sometimes it can lead to other prospects. ;)
