You can do it, OP! I'm convinced that if I can do it.... anyone can. That's just because my anxiety over it was so bad that I actually started to accept that I will never drive on my own, EVER. Not even a year later, I have my license and my own car :) Good luck to you!!!

Thanks! I went through a few years like that, but particularly since I'm in the suburbs (and an hour's walk from public transit), I finally decided I'd never be able to do the things I want to with my life if I didn't buck up.

Car's fixed up and my eye exam is over with, so I should be able to go for my permit in a couple of weeks. Fingers crossed.
