Saiga antelope
Today I'm going to be posting about the saiga antelope!
- The saiga antelope's scientific name is Saiga tatarica
- 95% of saiga antelopes have died in fifteen years, leaving 50,000 saiga total
- Most saiga antelope are killed by poachers for their horns
- Their funky noses are so that they can filter out dust/dirt in the summer, and breathe in warm air in the winter
