Rocky Horror was never big. It's a cult thing. It only seems big if you are part of the cult fandom.

A lot of people know of it though - I mean, even my dad watched it, and he's not necessarily into that..ehm, subject matter generally. It might be an age thing.

It seems to be something that everyone knows about, that doesn't mean everyone has seen it or is interested.

I only know about it because of school. It's kinda out of my usual genres and I probably wouldn't have stumbled across it otherwise.

Same with other cult classics like The Butterfly Affect, American Beauty...and it's not too huge of a deal, as people move on so do the shows referred.

I don't think I would include The Butterfly Effect in a list of cult classics.
