Most disappointing cliffhanger resolution?

In all the shows you watch, what was the most disappointing resolution to a cliffhanger you've ever experienced?

LOST. Pick your own cliffhanger. There are plenty.

I was pretty disappointed with Korra's first season finale and how everything was resolved.

Here's to a better season two.

I feel the same. It all seemed forced and rushed to me.

Yeah, this. They had SO MUCH POTENTIAL, especially the scene in... was it episode eight? - with the non-benders being rounded up, and for a moment, it looked like Korra was actually going to have her assumptions challenged and grow the fuck up... but nope.

Supernatural Season 6 finale into Season 7, episode 1. Crazy Godstiel storyline, completely dropped; Castiel possessed by purgatory evil, completely dropped; all potential for the big-bad to be a friend they're trying to redeem/save/rehabilitate and the resulting angst, completely dropped.

Instead we got a stale, jerky plotline of (rarely present) luke-warm monsters trying to enslave the world with mind-controlling meat.

We do not talk about season 5 of The West Wing. Not the disturbingly boring cliffhanger resolution, and not the part where Josh and Toby suddenly started seriously thinking that the Speaker of the House would try to push through antiabortion legislation when the country was on a manhunt for Zoey and plotting to undermine him even though they'd been encouraging Bartlet to step down in the season 4 finale.

Although to be fair, Sorkin WAS totally trolling Wells by writing up that storyline and then palming it off on him in the middle of the most hefty, complicated cliffhanger possible to make his life difficult for shits and giggles.

The first that comes to mind is rather old: the Dynasty wedding massacre. Pretty much everyone was lying bloody on the ground when the season ended, but only two minor characters ended up dead.

Second would be SPN's Sympathy for the Devil. One moment Lucifer is rising and then they are on a plane.

Oh man, Old School Who had a million of them! Because they had a lot of episodes that were 4-part or more-part, and every ep 'had' to end with a cliffhanger...

I think my favourite was when Sarah Jane fell off a tower at the end of one ep, and landed two feet down on a gantry on the next ep hahaha.

Then there was a time Harry stuck his foot in a giant clam....

Dude, nothing beats the one where Seven randomly decides to dangle off a ledge by his umbrella, only to get off-handedly lifted down in the next ep. :D

Ah, yes. This was years ago, when I was watching Star Trek Voyager. Sometime in the spring, I saw a thing in the paper about how Kate Mulgrew might be leaving Voyager! I was shocked and appalled and anxiously awaited the season finale, which finished with Janeway being hit with a blast and being knocked backwards, and freeze frame, and TO BE CONTINUED!

...and then a couple months later it's continued, she falls to the floor, springs back to her feet, and some other character gets seriously wounded. It was the silliest fake-out.

Honestly, I just hate how Moffat resolves 99.9% of his plotlines on Doctor Who. I don't know if there's a specific cliffhanger per se (maybe River's identity) but every "resolution" he's ever given us to a question or storyline has been massively disappointing to me.

Wasn't a show, but a book series. Ends with the entire point of the series being pointless and all the characters prisoners. Very disappointing.
