That happened to me once. A little girl looked up at me, then at her father, and asked if I was a boy or a girl.

I have a few short stories:

Two customers nearly got into a fistfight because one pushed the other's cart out of his way. They didn't understand why security was kicking them out of the store.

The day before that, another customer parked in the middle of the road and didn't understand why the police were giving her a warning to not park illegally.

A few weeks ago, a customer asked me how to clean a steam iron. I had no idea, but another coworker answered for me. The customer patted me on the arm, said "Now you know for when you get married!", and then left as I stared at him. Thanks for making so many assumptions about me.
