(Anonymous) 2013-04-20 02:32 am (UTC)(link)Rape against women is absolutely and institutionalized, serious problem, and nowhere was I intending to downplay it or derail the discussion.
Rape against men is not taken seriously BECAUSE of misogyny and patriarchy and all that bullshit, because "men can't be victims! they're too manly!" and it's considered bad for a man to admit "weakness".
What I am saying is that ALL rape victims, young and old, male and female, of all backgrounds, should be heard and taken seriously.
