You can't just make Sims of people you like or fandom characters?

Because, yeah, that's... kind of weird.

(Anonymous) 2013-04-20 08:07 pm (UTC)(link)
How is it any more weird than fandom characters or people you like? I dont understand.

I don't know, as long as there is no risk of these people finding out I don't see it as a huge issue, especially if it is helping the OP release stress.

Like I could see myself doing something like that when I was younger, I don't know if I'd do it now because I rarely have the energy to hate people that much, but putting people in a video game might be better then being a bitch to them IRL. Especially if they're people you need to interact with for work or school.

One of my favorite hobbies.

I made me and my SO once and I wanted to be less programmed and take it slow and meet naturally. When I finally, finally did meet the bastard, he had married some horrible rich green fairy lady and they were living in his shack.

I had also had boyfriends on the side at the time, and I had tried to cure one of them of his frog-head disease with a kiss, but this turned me into a frog. So I tried seducing him as a frog and getting him to kiss me. He turned into a frog too. So I had to throw a big house seduction party for people to change me back--it ended up being my roommate who I think all the asking for kisses got her Sim to be a lesbian, because then she had a crush on me. I was human, finally, and then broke her heart when I found him, kissed him, cured him, seduced him, and made him divorce his wife and marry me.

Happily Ever-Fucking-After.

And that's why The Sims is a great game.

(Anonymous) 2013-04-20 08:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Haha, that's awesome. :D

When I made me and my BF on The Sims, I ended up with a bunch of kids which he wouldn't help me raise because he just played on the computer all the time. It was so depressing, I had to stop playing.

Jesus H. Christ. You can do all that in Sims? I'm exhausted just reading this.

(Anonymous) 2013-04-20 08:16 pm (UTC)(link)
That actually sounds pretty therapeutic; a good way to get some of your aggression out that doesn't harm anyone.

(Anonymous) 2013-04-20 08:22 pm (UTC)(link)
I used to do this all the time back when I played.

(Anonymous) 2013-04-20 08:27 pm (UTC)(link)
I totally get it. I would do it too!

Rock on with your hateration Sims!

(Anonymous) 2013-04-20 08:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Isn't that what The Sims is for?

Step 1. Create yourself
Step 2. See how long it takes for Sims!you to die
Step 3. Create the people you dislike
Step 4. See how long it takes for them to die

(Anonymous) 2013-04-20 08:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Ten times as long as it took SimYou to die.

Step 5. Create fandom characters, celebrities, and/or politicians
Step 6. See how long it takes for them to die

(Anonymous) 2013-04-21 01:35 am (UTC)(link)
I'm pretty sure those were the directions that came with my game several years ago.

(Anonymous) 2013-04-20 08:37 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm guessing it also makes it easier to play because you don't have to put any effort into keeping them happy and stopping them from peeing on themselves. When something shitty happens that you weren't even trying for, it's a nice bonus instead of a screw-up.

Well, that's not overly sick. Some folks actually take people they like and give them shitty lives.

I think this is mostly harmless (as long as the game versions don't make you rage too) but I wouldn't do it. I generally only make Sims of people or characters I like or love anyway though, so that would explain it.

When I was 14 I totally made Worms teams of girls I hated at school and made them blow themselves up. Petty and vindictive, but hey, gotta blow off steam somehow

The previous generation was seeing how many of their enemies died of dysentery or a broken leg on the Oregon Trail, so...

don't feel too bad op. when it came out my ex abused me my best friend (who made sims versions of us and our boyfriends at the time) burned and killed him in a grill...hahaha. As long as you don't harbor on to the hatred and let it control your life you're good. And of course no hurting these people IRL.

I like killing off sims I dislike, though I don't makes sims solely for that reason. The nearest I ever came to that was making a pile of sims up so I could kill them and collect gravestones that I turned into a cemetary in S1.

Meanwhile, in my latest play, I made up a new copy of the character in my icon, and also made up the father of her child and his sister (basic background? Orin got pregnant by rape. The sister's a bitch too). Besides giving the baby the other side of his parentage, I had fun deaging Orin so she could use a Death Note (mod item - can only be used by teenage sims) to kill them off (and have more types of ghosts than the gun mod allows for).
