....but why? It's just fandom, and it's so much fun to watch! People who get their panties in a twist over fandom deserve the sting that comes from their disputes.

And I say this as someone who has been involved in quite a few silly flamewars. Fandom wank is kind of like drinking too much: it's fun, it's understandable, I don't plan on stopping any time soon, but it's stupid and I deserve the hangover.
