Yeah, it'd be cool. I wouldn't be so bored with bromance if they weren't always hetero dudebros. I'd like to see some friendships between gay dudes too.

That would be interesting. Also it would be interesting if they could have a gay character have a boyfriend, but also have a platonic friend who's just their friend.

Because subverting the idea that being gay and attracted to males means wanting to bone every male you were close to would be good. Geez I mean I'm attracted to guys, but I certainly am not attracted to every male friend or guy that isn't related to me that I meet.

(also...something about the word dudebro makes me cringe. Dunno why other than my mind connects it to radical SJ rants no offense, Maybe I just find it inherently annoying.)

I guess we were talking about stuff we would end up finding good instead of bad. "They made it once and it sucked" is no excuse to not make it again (and again).

You're right, actually that's how I plan to view this show if I will have a chance to watch it: as a first step towards something interesting. A bit wibbly-wobbly-shakey, but definitely a first step. (I just didn't want to seem like I'm recommending this when I know it's bad.)

And it's just... I think it will suck as long as they *want* to "make a show about a gay guy and his boyfriend and his hetero best friend", because (and that, I can't see happening for a while) they should want to make a show about a bunch of characters who happen to be gay, and in a relationship, with a hetero best friend. I think they try too hard... when they try at all... and they don't try it enough times. And I stop before I become irrationally angry... again. (I tend to be when this show is mentioned. That's why I should avoid mentioning it. Yep. Sorry.)
