Well, it seems to me that you have just suffered a lot from SJWs.
It's important to make a distinction between people who point out social justice issues and social justice WARRIORS.

Funny, I have seen more hate for the genderswaps coming from really rabid "f/f is hot, m/m is horrible" type of fans, not from SJers.

I personally like the male version of Rarity a lot. I just don't like that the fandom has pretty much agreed on that he should be gay. Because how dare a man be dramatic and into fashion without wanting to bang other men.

And no, I haven't read that fanfic because I'm not big on reading fanfic about MLP ^^#

Oh yeah, I definitely make a distinction between people interested in social justice issues and SJWs. SJWs to me are like... Rush Limbaugh in reverse. People interested in social justice issues are a lot more calm and are actually willing to explain their points, they don't default to "GOOGLE IT FUCKFACE" if someone is confused or just doesn't understand what's going on.

And yeah, I agree with you on that. I personally can see male Rarity being really into fashion, but not necessarily being gay- maybe he just likes to look classy and hates it when others don't look nice, either? :P
