I keep meaning to check out the DVDs of Xena and see how well/badly it has aged. Even if it doesn't still hold up that well, Xena and Gabrielle were awesome.

The CGI did NOT age well. The epic friendship and overall badass women themes? Very well.

My example of CGI failure is people falling into a river. It just looks so fucking hilarious. Oh, and the centaurs during their first appearance! I died. They got better in the second season.

Another thing that hasn't aged well are the hairstyles. Xena and Gabrielle are okay, but the rest looks hilariously bad. It's a mixture of bad wigs and generally mid-90s hairstyles.

Yeah, the CGI wasn't really all that good to begin with so I wasn't expecting much on that front.
