EXACTLY THIS! Aeris was a troll and a flirt. There was nothing childish or innocent about her - who the hell said that? Though to be honest, I've heard the original writer doesn't do the spinoffs, so we've got people writing Aeris to fit in with their own interpretation, which apparently ended at "she wears a pink dress". Aeris had a lot of depth, and how she acted around everyone is a complete stranger to how she is portrayed in the spinoffs. It's really unbelievable, and disappointing, because Aeris was my favorite character, too.

(part of the reason I always say Aeris, too, is that now I associate "Aerith" with the character of the spinoffs... not my Aeris!)
