Sorry, I just really love her. I like the themes in her songs and she was my first foray into recent pop music that I actually got into. I think I Am Not A Robot and The Archetypes kind of explain her? idk.

haha, a lot of my friends are into her. I had always heard about her (them?), but then one day in the store I worked at (aeropostale, hated it anyway) they played "primadonna girl." I thought they were maybe the most annoying lyrics I had ever heard in my life, which is something considering the type of music they play daily in aeropostale. a few days later I decided to finally give marina and the diamonds a try, and primadonna girl was the song that happened to come up when I searched the name on youtube. it was a kind of "that's her?!" reaction, and ever since I've had a bit of a bias against her (not that I don't honestly dislike the other stuff I've heard). sorry for the tldr!

don't judge her off a single song! Lyrics wise, primadonna girl is the exact opposite of most of what she sings.

I have listened to other stuff don't get me wrong! it's just that after that first one I always had a kind of "ehh..." feeling toward her. I was being unclear with that.

Haha, no I get you. My first listen from her was I Am Not A Robot so I didn't have that "wtf is this shit" at first, but when I did listen to her Electra Heart album with Primadonna being the first song I heard from it, I wasn't impressed. Months later I decided to try it again and thought about what the theme/message of it was (or how I could interpret it lol), so The Archetypes made me figure it out and cry, and I loved her ever since.

But yeah, dislike her all you want! :D

Oh my gosh, same here. I work at EB Games, and I was forced to listen to Primadonna Girl on repeat, every hour, on the hour, for a month. Left me scarred. I don't know if I can bring myself to like her now, since that song just drove me crazy for a month.
