Sometimes it just happens that way. I can cycle through this (or sometimes just specific kinks) for months to years at a time. It can suck if the friends you've made in fandom aren't into it, especially if you don't know how long it's going to last, but I just see it as an opportunity to talk to more people. There's as many het writers as slash writers as femslash writers who love it when you open up discussion on the pairing they wrote about in a review or something, and tumblr, for all its flaws, has made it very easy to just jump into conversation with other fans without making your interactions A Big Deal. Just dig in to whatever you're into now and worry about the rest if/when you get back to liking it again.
