My son is twelve years old and he fits those descriptions you gave pretty much to a T. He has been diagnosed with ADHD and takes medication to help him cope with it. He was also tested for autism but was not diagnosed as such.

So that behaviour sounds pretty consistent with ADHD to me. Try not to worry too much and enjoy college. :)
