I didn't even enjoy the movie, but I do agree that there was an interesting dynamic there. I could see why you'd ship it.

I can see it (they're also the best looking duo in the film) but honestly I can only ship David 8 with Charles Xavier, and it is with this information that I realize that fandom has ruined my brain.

Do not feel bad. I never watched the movie (I can't do horror), but I totally ship David 8/Charles Xavier. It's like, the perfect relationship. Charles can't read him and David gets to learn about feelings.

It's pretty schlocky. I dunno - i wouldn't even classify it as 'horror', though i suppose it had a couple 'jump out at you' kind of 'gotcha' moments, but in no was was it remotely as freaky-scary as Alien.

I really loved Prometheus and I really loved the entire cast (but especially David, which isn't exactly unique).

I wanted more Vickers, though. She was easily my favorite.

The end of that made me want to see more so bad. Movie? Movie was okay. Fearless scientist voyaging into the unknown with her trusty sociopathic head-in-a-bag? That could be an awesome series of stories.
