I'm cool with janitors. It's backbreaking, thankless work and they deserve a much higher pay and respect than they get. But are we seriously going to pretend that it's somehow cooler than being a private eye? No disrespect, but... really? Given the choice between scrubbing the puke out of toilets for ungrateful spoiled college kids and going on stakeouts and solving mysteries, how many people here would have a tough time deciding what to pick?

I would argue, though, that being around Vinnie, who wasn't exactly the most honest of PIs, and around crime on a constant basis, wouldn't be best for Weevil. Yeah, the job itself would be cooler, but his life wasn't exactly heading in a good direction. A guy like Vinnie not expecting Weevil to use his connections in the world he'd lived in for so long doesn't seem likely. Being a PI for anyone else would certainly be a more adventurous job. Being a PI for Weevil seems like tempting the wrath. Weevil made enemies, but Vinnie wouldn't care about that. Or ... Maybe I should say being a PI *with Vinnie* is a bad idea. With another agency it might be a different story. But I wouldn't trust Vinnie with Weevil's future.

So maybe if the question isn't about whether Weevil has a job as a janitor or a PI; maybe if the question is about who he's a janitor or PI *with*?

Eh, I dunno. Vinnie's a bit of a sleaze but not a bad guy at heart. He seems like a good fit for Weevil and would probably appreciate Weevil's connections to the criminal underworld! It'd be funny, at any rate.
