I had to reformat my computer (well it had been my mom's computer and the reformat was to unfuck the thing up). Everything went well and good, until windows 7 starts asking for it's code. I put it in. It refuses to recognize it. I try several more times. Still nothing.

I try magicjellybean and use the code IT gives me. Nope.

Microsoft laughed at me and told me 'tough luck, rebuy it'. Lenovo wants me to pay 50 bucks for something that might solve the issues.

Any suggestions?

Since Microsoft are being such asses about it, I'd totally go ahead and find some keygen/crack/whatever.

my dad has this problem sometimes (he routinely reinstalls the os because of virus/broke something when playing around for learning how it works), and i think he just tries again from scratch until it works

yeah, microsoft and the computer hardware makers tend to be incredibly unreliable. it's best to just assume you're on your own and save yourself the phone call
