what is that supposed to even be...? i've stared at it for 5 minutes and i still can't tell. :(

it's a goblin being torn into several pieces from the inside out, the green thing doing the deed is a magical shapeshifting arm the OTHER goblin has... it's kind of sentient on its own and an asshole. it went on a very violent killing spree, the goblin with the arm was unhappy about this and eventually cut it off.

but yeah... the green arm stabbed up into the other goblin and exploded outward

the missing innards ARE a bit odd, ha. the artist might have purposefully left them out to avoid the gore getting too bad/upsetting

Yeah, it looks like a weird cross between a Christmas tree and some art project.

Also, when characters are injured in a way where they should bleed, but no blood is seen.

Good lord. I kind of liked this comic when I read through it last year in the midst of the drama surrounding it, but I stopped a few months ago when my interest waned. Now I see it's gore porn. O...k.

All things considered, it's actually one of the better comics I'm currently reading. Thunt's the best author I've ever seen at introducing a new character, quickly sketching out how that character thinks and feels, and making you like and root for that character almost as much as ones you've known for a while. He's demonstrated that he's not afraid to send these characters to a horrible, horrible death, so there's a lot of tension in watching them try to get out of situations where they're clearly outmatched.

the author cannot draw/improve his skills to save his life

he spends hours and hours and hours and he's been doing this for years and still no improvement (because he's not actually studying drawing, i guess? this is the perfect example of what happens when you just draw the same things over and over and over without analyzing what works and what doesn't and what to improve and you don't draw from life)

my point is, realistic anything in the art department is not something to be expected from goblins
