I was actually really excited when I saw this but then I watched the PV and was disappointed by the quality of the animation, to say the least...

I know the KyoAni trailer was to show off the studio's animation, but I feel so bitter now that the actual anime is going to have what seems like more limited animation than other animes out this season.

I cheered, ngl. It looks like it has potential, since it may be based on a novel, apparently (http://shorterthan.tumblr.com/post/48942138276/zerachin-urdchama-pandadistractions) but I'd be satisfied if it was just slice-of-life with pretty boys.

I saw that on tumblr and my reaction was basically "...that's it?" Maybe slice of life just doesn't do it for me.

*eta I DO think, though, that it's awesome that the sheer power of fangirls on the internet brought this into reality.

urgghhh I was so annoyed when my tumblr dash was flooded by this and I don't care at all but now I dislike it because of people's obnoxiousness over it. Hope they enjoy it.

my dash didn't explode so I didn't have that experience, but I followed the link op posted and the sheer amount of RAGE from (mostly male) moe fans is making me stan for this show out of spite.

Rarely do I watch anime anymore but ngl, when I saw this on twitter I thought, "YAY!" The animation isn't as good as expected but...whatever, there are pretty boys so I'll give it a shot.

Thanks for the heads up. I've been looking for another sports anime to get into, but I haven't come across anything worth watching for a long time. That basketball anime that was released a while ago (forgot the name. the one with the kid who had blue hair?) just plain sucked.

If you're interested in another sports anime, I really, really recommend Touch! It's a bit older and longer, but still pretty darn good.

It hasn't come out yet so I may be proved wrong but I doubt this will be any better than Kuroko no Basuke sadly.

YES same. I was fine until I saw some assholes ACTUALLY complaining that this show is about high school boys when they wanted it to be about GRADE SCHOOL girls with a male 20-something trainer, and how it was disgusting that "fujoshi" were getting their rocks off to it but then judging said male viewers on the side. And then I became wholly disgusted and am a huge fan of this show now.

I'm just excited because a) eye candy, and b) a sports anime about my sport 8D And what they've given us so far gives me some confidence in their level of accuracy.

Knowing that it's pissing off the neckbeards, though - that gives me warm fuzzies. Us androsexuals gotta get thrown a bone every once in a while :P (pun may or may not be intended)
