I saw a nature program once (made by the US cable channel Animal Planet) about a who fostered some tasmanian devil pups. Carried them around in a messenger bag. They were well-behaved around Foster Dad but were holy terrors to everyone else - curious and destructive and wild and territorial. He said it was like watching a headstrong two-year-old that had claws.

I've known people IRL with some unlikely pets though (bobcats, raccoons, porcupines), so maybe the right person could handle keeping a devil? I dunno.
