(Anonymous) 2013-04-27 02:12 am (UTC)(link)Hey look, it's why I don't like A Song of Ice and Fire: a fantasy series in a fantasy world with dragons and metamorphic assassins and snow zombie hordes, but aesthetically similar enough to Shitty Medieval Europe that the author can go "oh, all the sexism and racism is historical accuracy"

(Anonymous) 2013-04-27 02:23 am (UTC)(link)I like the series, but what you said about the sexism and racism is what I really hate about it. Even worse, when watching the TV show I have noticed that female nudity is all over the place. Like they even had to visually stress that women as a group are heavily sexually exploited in-universe.
