Enjoying it and fired up to prove myself, but I know burnout is going to set in eventually.

Just need to keep the serious studying up until Christmas/early Jan, because then they're choosing the candidates for the accelerated++ course. You would effectively go almost straight into leadership with focused development, and I would be surprised if the future top dog doesn't come from this group.
On the other hand, I'm not even sure I would take the opportunity if offered, because the standard accelerated scheme offers a lot of lateral movement (for the first two years you get cycled through the three main areas of the organisation, and than a guarantee of posting to any specialist team of your choice - and they'll give the support for promotion when you decide to move up.
But I know I'll always regret not at least taking the chance to prove myself and have the opportunity offered, who knows how I'll feel in eight months.
