I'm with you on this, secret!OP.

Although triggers also work as advertisement. On the other hand, I don't want to read fic that's been tagged "trigger warning: trigger xyz."

The trigger-warning-as-advertisement thing is a viewpoint I've seen around, and I think it's kind of interesting. I'm starting to think that people are so jazzed up about warnings because it's... I don't know, a lazy way to attempt to say what your story is about without actually saying anything at all.

the tag system on AO3 works so well because it works both ways: if bestiality isn't my thing I can back right up when I see that tag, but conversely if I really want to read it I can just search that tag and go for it.

I'm a fan of tagging in general, because organization is nice and it helps you find stuff. :D
