Re: What was your assigned reading in HS?
The Outsiders, Fahrenheit 451, Midsummer Night's Dream, Romeo and Juliet, Lord of the Flies, Hamlet, Macbeth, Animal Farm, Of Mice and Men, Jane Eyre (UGH)...
Hmm. I don't actually remember reading any other Shakespeare plays, or what other novels we did? We didn't do Gatsby (or Catcher in the Rye for that matter), and I think I may've done Midsummer in two years since I switched schools going into 9th grade.
Most of what we read were short stories though, and the only ones I remember of any note were a Ray Bradbury one about Mars, and an Asimov, one of the Multivac stories but I forget which.
