You mean the last 40 years or so, right? Nevermind that you guys still fly the Confederate flag whenever you can under the guise of "heritage." Among other things. Also? Your modern culture sucks. I live a stone's throw from the Kentucky state line and I have to listen to people talk about NASCAR and Honky Tonk Badonkadonk with depressing frequency. Not to mention the sheer amount of noisy religiosity which is responsible for a lot of what's holding progress back.

OP may have unintentionally implied that racism ended 150 years ago, even though it's pretty clear to me they were talking about SLAVERY, and the idea that we should all just "forget" the past is not a great one, but the only one spreading hate and stereotypes in this particular thread is you.
