Much Ado About Nothing.

I saw it OP, it was a fun production, but I agree with the critics, he was good, but she wasn't. There were points where she just reverted to some of her comedy characters, it was like she didn't understand what she was doing. Shame there wasn't a better actress playing Beatrice.

Maybe it's because I've never seen her comedy characters and therefore never got any recognition moments, but I disagree. I think she was quite good. Not as good as him, or the best actress to ever play the character or anything, but still good.

I love these two in whatever capacity they are together in. They have so much chemistry and play off each other so well. I shipped Doctor/Donna from the first time I saw season 4 because the whole friendship to romance idea is pretty much my favorite trope. But really, I'm just happy seeing them on screen together.

Welcome to the Doctor/Donna ship. :)

I do think there are some similarities between Doctor/Donna and Beatrice/Benedick in terms of the banter. I think Donna is more similar to Beatrice than the Doctor is to Benedick, though. And the friendship angle, certainly, makes the relationship different.

I loved this version of Much Ado About Nothing, and had a fun time picturing that Donna and Ten had an adventure where they went to a Shakespeare-ish planet, and got accidentally cast as Beatrice and Benedick.

OMG.

If you want to go legit, you can download it here: http://www.digitaltheatre.com/production/details/much-ado-about-nothing-tennant-tate

All you have to do is download Digital Theatre's player. I bought the forever download and it's totally worth it! I've watched it two or three times since.
