I wasn't a big neopets person (I had an account, but couldn't really get into it), but otherwise? I can totally relate to this secret. I still post at the same community I did as a teen, and happening upon one of my old posts always makes me cringe. I was the teen n00b who complained a lot ("I hate this rule, it's stupid"), among other things. But they were patient with me, thankfully, and are now basically my online family.

When there's irritating teen members on comms I go to now, I try to remind myself of this, although sometimes I don't until I'm humbled by another ghost of message past.
