This this! not to mention, I've noticed a severe discrepancy in regards to say, popular writers and "popular" art works. Popular writer gets a lot of followers if their story was good and so their next story gets a large amount of focus and attention solely because it was made by them.

Artist? We don't get that. There are a very rare few cases that do, but a majority of that, that I've noticed has been art blogs who don't draw for quality, they draw ask replies, simple little comics that go along with fanon and whatnot. I've seen multiple amazing artists who have like 3k notes on one fandom favorite, and all the rest of their work has like 5. It gets really discouraging tbh.
