I'm not a writer, never have been never will.

I am a blogger though, and I wouldn't post my blog entries so everyone (or my friends list at times) can read them, if I didn't want them read, then I would write privately.

I don't get the write for yourself line, I assume when someone posts something on the internet where everyone can read it, they aren't just doing it for themselves. They are writing their story to give other people a story, if they wrote for themselves then they wouldn't post it.
