7. Father Ted secret! :D That episode was great. I mean, all the episodes are great, but that one especially so.
9. Wondermark is great. I find it even funnier because I actually own a bunch of those copyright-free Victorian illustration books that Malki uses for his stripes. I like how he'll make subtle changes to the original pictures to make them more appropriate for the comic, like slightly changing an expression.
11. This secret weirds me out, because Ian McShane will always be Lovejoy to me. D: I know the series is supposed to be amazing and I probably will watch it at some point and love it, but still! Lovejoy! Beating women! WTF.
16. Aww, Shinji. It's funny, because the more I read about how much he sucked, the more I started to sympathize with and like him. I haven't seen the new movies yet though. Are there any fansubs out there yet?
20. Dude, get yerself a fandom-only journal then! Problem solved.
21. Well, I don't know about the judging thing (but yeah, that is something you should feel bad about) but I went through a similar thing a while back. I really got into American comics and just about stopped reading manga altogether. Part of it was that, at the time, I was a member of a community where I was constantly finding out about new and interesting American series and getting into those. And then I would wander into the manga section at Borders and be completely lost. At that point there were just too many titles for me to just be able to browse and find something good, which is still true. So for a while I almost exclusively read American comics. Then I started coming across some recommendations for great manga series and review blogs that also reviewed manga and I started finding series that I loved from both sides of the Pacific. So these days my reading list is fairly balanced, and I always love finding new and interesting series from all over, across all sorts of genres.
Now my only wish is that I could read more Euro comics. This one drives me crazy, because there are some titles that look friggin' gorgeous, but aren't available in English, and there doesn't really seem to be a fan-translation movement like there is with manga. >:
TL;DR: I was like you once, but I got better. :D
25. I keep hearing about this series and I start to wonder if by the time I get around to seeing it all the hype will have shorted me out and I'll just be underwhelmed.
