Preeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeetty sure that my customary infatuation with any male authority figure who crosses my path is my inner child trying to get the attention/respect/love of the dad I never had, even though I had a dad whom I loved very much. He just wasn't a particularly emotionally involved parent.

That being said, one of my course conveners is ridiculously attractive in a lanky, handsome, deep-voiced, handsome, silver-foxy, confident, effortlessly masculine way and I just can't deal with it. /TMI
