...Sometimes I forget why it's so embarrassing to admit to being American when I'm overseas. And then people do stupid shit like this and I want to cry.

Czechoslovakia broke up in 1993, why the fuck are they talking about Czechoslovakia. To be fair I learned geography on Cold War era maps (actually right around the time that everybody split up and Germany got back together), but it's been literally twenty years. No excuse.

Pretty sure it was Fox News (big surprise there). A Twitter friend of mine got pretty pissed about it when the fuck-up happened, and since his dad only watches Fox (and they're not known for actually being accurate), I'm assuming it was them.
