So, I was browsing trailers and happened upon the blurb for Frozen. I had my doubts about the movie, but I never expected...this. They left out some interesting female characters and replaced them with a hot guy and a....comic relief snowman.

Why Disney? Whyyyyyy.

Honestly, from what I've seen, you can't really say they "left out" any characters, in the sense that the story is absolutely nothing like the original to begin with. Yeah, I know, Disney isn't exactly known for faithfulness, but this is more than the usual liberties they take with fairy tale stories. As far as I can tell, the similarities between Frozen and The Snow Queen are as follows:

There was a video with some animation done (both CGI and some concept art)...honestly, it [the snowman] looks even worse than I originally feared.

I only read the original story very recently, so I've no deep attachment to it (honestly, the Snow Queen could have been more prominent), but this looks...very strange.

Yeah, I see another Louis in our future and I'm really not looking forward to that.
