I've never seen these commercials, but I frickin' adore you for getting worked up over something like that, OP :)

(btw I'm one of those people who gets really goddamn irritated at those peeing Calvin decals, because I know Watterson never licensed them and always hated them).

I was just in a gas station today that sells those peeing Calvin stickers and was feeling pissed off about it. He doesn't get any royalties, as far as I know.

I'm always curious as to how they're able to make those commercials as I thought Schulz requested that he didn't want anyone to use his characters after his death.

I haven't seen these commercials as I don't watch a lot of TV, but if it's Metlife, they've owned the rights since the 80s.

It's hard for me to imagine someone getting so worked up about this! (But I've never been a huge fan of the Peanuts; it was something I read as a child and enjoyed, but that's it.)

But we've all been there about commercials. Hope they stop running it soon since it irritates you!

One of my fears is they'll do the same to Waterson. Hopefully time and lack of relevance will prevent that.
