I'm so predictable in my shipping that I'm a bit surprised you didn't know or guess. :p But yep, I have an unhealthy affection for XMFC!Charles/Erik ~~and this might or might not be the reason I'm both excited and terrified for the next film~~.

I'll keep an eye out! Definitely PM me though, just to remind me; I haven't been coming to dreamwidth as much lately because of comics. (I hope the RL stuff works out!)

I've tagged you as gamer/Avengers* fan in my head and XMFC!Charles/Erik never dinged my radar for some reason. ~~I wanted to write this sappy Charles/Erik rehash fic after I saw XMFC and I'm so happy I never wrote it because I watched it really late and there were a gazillion of those fic already by then.~~ I don't want to think about the next film. I'll probably keep any eye out for spoilers so I'll know what happens before watching it.

If things work out, I'll only have a 4hr window to do all my online activities - which commenting on F!S is only a small part of - starting Monday.

NGL, I'm a bit pleased to have slipped something past you. We've discussed Cap/Thor and Thor/Loki in the past and I ship Tony/Pepper too. I think you might've been in that one thread where I said Loki takes sexual pleasure from manipulating Thor but I'm not sure. Video games are my love but I'm a bit everywhere with my interests. ~~BB this is fandom; I think it would've been okay with a gazillion and one of those fics. Maybe you would've written the best fic out of the bunch, WHO KNOWS?!~~ Spoiling myself is not something I often do but I'll probably make an exception. I've already went looking for Star Trek: Into Darkness spoilers because I can't take the wait.

I'm not planning to watch Iron Man 3 and I'm definitely spoiling myself for Thor 2 even if I'm going to watch it. Now that I think about it, I knew most of the story for Avengers and XMFC before I saw them too. I guess knowing what's happening in a movie before watching it is just something I do.

I got RL stuff to fit into those 4hrs too, which was why I said F!S is only a small part of those 4 hrs. We'll see how things go.

Any particular reason you don't plan on watching Iron Man 3? Just curious! Spoiling yourself is probably the smart thing to do because to some extent it allows you to gauge if you'll enjoy the media, and if you hate what you hear you can then avoid the disappointment. But I'm a sucker for shock, so I try not to do that.

I probably do? I have been accused of being the spreadsheet!Anon a few times when I wasn't logged in. The thing is, I talk to you guys a lot, I also have good Google-fu and sometimes, certain icons+keywords+username combinations toggle the ON button in my brain for certain specific details. For example, I've talked about Avengers with you and deadtree and intrigueing - I know there are more than just you guys but the letters in the names of the people in this one thread I'm thinking of are all scrambled up right now. That's what I mean by the icon+username+keyword trigger, they clear up the scrambled words and make the threads I think of momentarily clearer. Anyway, I know you like Avengers because we've talked and not because I keep your interests on a spreadsheet. I guess talking like I normally do when I'm not logged in creeps people out?

I'm not interested in the story? I don't care much for how RDJ looks now? I'm happy enough reading fanon I don't feel the need to expand into canon? I am interested in Thor 2 because I want know how Jane reacts to Asgard and magic, and how Loki and Thor work together after the trial. With IM3, I'm not interested in Pepper or Rodney or Tony or Mandarin's storylines or their interactions with each other. Not even Tony's one-liners and witty remarks are enough to make me want to watch it. Plus, I'm not a comics fan so I don't even have the comics vs. movies reason to watch IM3. And I'd spoil it anyway because I want to know what the endgame is. I want to know if Jane stays with Thor after the end of the movie or not. I want to know if Loki ultimately betrays Thor or not. The general outline, you know? Because then I'll be able to watch it and enjoy the movie. Otherwise I'd be thinking about all the possible ways the movie might end and I wouldn't be relaxed enough to appreciate all the non-storyline aspects of the movie.

Eh, you can't help what you remember; it just happens. I think most people would love to be better at remembering things (although maybe not specifically fs related things, lol); it's not an (overall) negative experience. And I don't see why it matters if you're logged in or not when you comment; the end-result is the same. (Now I'm not clever enough to ALWAYS be able to tell who you are when anon, but that's the reason most people go anon in the first place. You can't take that away from people and IDK why anyone would want to.) So not creepy to me.

Hey, I don't judge; different strokes and all that. It looks like Iron Man 3 is a more personal story centered around Tony and his friends and family and if those characters or relationships don't appeal to you then it makes sense that you would skip it. Kitkat loves Tony but she hopes this is the finale Iron Man film; I'm sort of hoping that as well, and I'm excited for it.

As for Thor 2...Jane can't stay with Thor if she's dead. >.> No that's not a spoiler, I just don't know if I believe they'll keep her character around much longer. And I like her and think her relationship is Thor is rather cute, but most fans don't, so...idk. Someone has to die and I feel like it's either her or Loki and I'm not sure Marvel is ready to kill Loki off yet. (Although since this is a movie based on a comic book, it's not like he couldn't be brought back to life.) Or maybe Odin dies, who knows man. But yea, I can see why you would want to know the gist before seeing it. If you're constantly distracted by what-if's than you would probably have to see the film multiple times to take it in. That experience isn't for everyone.

I remember odd facts in the sciences and humanities too but barely anything personal from RL. I know part of it is that I do not want to remember certain personal things from RL so I guess the not-remembering carried on over to other personal memories. (

Hm, I think it's more of the the mortal/immortal dynamic and conflicts I'm interested in rather than the Jane/Thor personal dynamic. I won't be upset if Jane dies. I can't see Loki being gone for good because he's a GOD and he has MAGIC, and revivals, yes. No matter how the story plays out, I think I'll find it interesting whereas IM3 is "meh."

Yea, I didn't figure you were a Jane/Thor fan. I'm not a huge of the pairing but I find them likable enough for a canon couple; some I hate, but thankfully that isn't the case with them. (And Loki wouldn't likely stay dead, just saying it's a possibility that he dies! Hell, this is comics, Thor could die and come back.)

She (and I agree with her) doesn't want them to ruin the franchise but pushing it too far. There's only so much you can do with any set of characters before things start feeling repetitive or the overall quality declines and it would be best if the franchise ended on a high note. He'll still be around in Avengers so this isn't the last we'll see of Tony regardless.

I like to mix things up sometimes, using colloquialisms from different English-speaking regions. I'll be very very impressed if someone can pick out all of my anonymous comments. ~~Not an easy task since even I can't remember what half of them are now...~~

Fair enough. Unless there is a big change in the characters, I can't imagine further films bringing in new conflicts that won't feel rehashed. IM1 established IM's creation, IM2 was IM vs. the military, yes? IM3 is vs. personal villain. What's left for IM4? An old-aged Tony Stark vs. Corporate Asswigs and playing them for fools? (...I'd watch it.)

I don't mind Jane/Thor and I do read Jane/Thor fics. I don't read them as often as Thor/Loki, Loki/Tony or gen fics though. I don't mind most canon couples, actually. House/Cuddy on the other hand... Let's just say I'm glad I stopped watching before the ship became canon.
