Oh, I've seen Warrior (and loved it), but all those purely sculpted muscles aren't quite as strong as Hollywood has taught us to think, but a little bit of body fat isn't always a bad thing when it comes to strength.

(Same anon here) Also, Bane has a less-than-perfectly chiseled look because he's the opposite of Batman---he didn't get his muscles working out in a gym or in a Batcave full of gadgets and state-of-the-art equipment. He got them in the prison and/or as he trekked through the world, as he ate whatever the hell he could get his hands on (if he can eat with that mask?), so he'd understandably have a little more body fat than the average superhero-movie eye candy. Because supervillainous eye candy is now a thing.
