I'm 100% OK with this. Sometimes people don't mesh, and that goes for people and celebrities of some sort, too. As long as you don't bash her for something like her being a woman, I think it's OK and I hope people respect it.

Dude, there are REAL people I know in real life that I hate for no reason. There was this one person in my high school, every time I saw their face I wanted to smash it in. I don't know if it pheromones/looks/a past life or what, but I hated that person.

I bet it was pheromones or the smell, a person's scent really determines if you'll be attracted/liked them a lot more than we realize. Pheromones are a legitimate theory.

I feel the exact same way. There's just something about her that's.... off. She isn't the best actress and her character is a bit of a Mary Sue. The way that people fall all over her doesn't help either.

I love the character, but I am totally fine with people not liking a character I like. Sometimes a character or actor just rubs you the wrong way for whatever reason, and that's okay.

I think the sane (read: not crazy SJWs) realize the difference between people like you, and people who come in all angry and attacking.

its probably cuz she talks like she has a big wad of snot in the back of her throat/nose and needs to blow it..

and her mouth is also weird..

and her backstory is hilariously cliche/bad..

I kind of agree. It's mostly a knee-jerk reaction - having to do with the unconditional love ppl seem to have for her which I just do not get. So she just slots herself into the hate part of my mind.

I like her as I think she's a fun character and the fact that she's female on the show and alive. I am easily pleased, obviously.

I hate when people do the whole "if you don't like X you are a misogynist/sexist/racist/evil" thing. Sometimes you just don't like a character and that is OK.

I also dislike her, but I know why, it's because the woman who plays her is so fucking bad at acting that I cringe everytime she's on screen. The character I like, or rather, I like what the writers were shooting for.
Same reason I dislike Kevin tbh. I know I know it's Supernatural and I shouldn't expect better, but seriously the casting peeps on this show just have a knack for hiring the worst fucking actors ever.

I understand. I think the show's cycling through their tech geeks and keep trying to top themselves. First we had Ash and Kripke thought that was too unbelievable, then we got Frank, and now we have Charlie.

I miss Ash, so that's my main problem with Frank and Charlie. Otherwise they don't really do anything for me either way. I can take them or leave them, I don't care.

It's totally ok to not like a character, OP.

I'm actually kinda glad you hate her. I was a little bothered/skeeved by the fact that people hated Bela/Ruby/Anna/Meg/Jo/etc./etc./etc. because they were potential love interests and were falling all over themselves to say they loved her who could never canonically be a love interest. So it's kinda nice in a perverse way that she isn't 100% loved.

As for me, I really, really, really dislike the actress, so it would be very difficult for me to like her character.

She's a very...the best way I can think to put it is 'antics-oriented'...character.

With these characters, if their particular brand of unusual rubs you the wrong way, it's hard for you to watch them without being distracted by it.

I like her, and some characters on Supernatural - Garth as a big example - who have the same quality. On the flip side, I couldn't stand Chuck or Balthazar.

Yeah, I kinda feel the same way, though I think my general indifference towards her only turns into dislike when she randomly appears in geeky media that could have hosted some other geeky female actress...any other geeky female actress, anywhere.

I don't like Charlie that much either.But i dislike Felicia Day too,so that may be it.She's a pretty bad actress who plays the same character all over again.Give me some variation,woman!

Charlie is pretty much the only 'safe' character SPN could've given us.She's the awesome kind of fan (unlike Becky,and I liked Becky very much) so we can identify with her,she's a lesbian so she's no threat for ships,she's got a good relationship with Dean,etc.Aaand they cheapened her with that backstory.

what annoys me about her is that any time she does ANYTHING fans are like OMG FD! SHE'S SO COOL BECAUSE SHE'S A GEEK GIRL.

just because she's doing something for your favorite franchise doesn't give it an automatic boost in geek ratings. it doesn't double the geekitude.

nothing is made better just by her very presence. no really, it's not.

I don't like her because of the hacking she did in "The girls with the dungeons and dragons tattoo" - when she took funds from the organization against gay marriage.

I'm far from supporting organizations like that, yet that action rubbed me the wrong way.
Then again, I dislike all kinds of "My Cause is just and righteous, thus giving me licence to do anything I want in Its name"

I like her, but I understand why people don't. I've never really seen Felicia Day in anything before, so I don't like/dislike her really. She's just kinda there.

I have a completely irrational hatred of Karen Allen (Indiana Jones) & Gary Sinise, so I get what you're saying. Sometimes you dislike people for no real reason.
