It's called "Huge" and was about a bunch of teenagers at a "fat camp". The network pretty much did nothing to encourage or support the show, so advertising was few and far between, I'm really not surprised so many here have never seen or heard of it before.

Honestly I must say the premise doesn't really appeal to me, even being overweight myself. I'm going to chime in with people saying I'd much rather see a fat character in an action of fantasy show, just being one of the cast.

I might be wrong and it might be great, but I feel like it would make being fat either a gimmick or a central theme, and I do not care much for neither.

This. I don't want to watch a show where fat people are treated badly for being fat - even if the characters aren't bothered/don't let it bother them/overcome it/whatever.

I just want a show where fat people just are people doing whatever else skinny people do and no one making a big deal about it.
