Re: Pet Peeve Tropes?
There are ways the characters could change that wouldn't involve them falling in love. I'm not talking about romance movie here.
where nothing happens
You now movie can be about more than just whether two people got together, right? So not wanting two people to fall in love =/= wants nothing to happen.
There's quite a range between "they hate each other at the beginning and are in love at the end" and something as boring as "they hate each other at the beginning and at the end"
Yes, you're right, there is. That's a fair point. The problem is, even that middle ground rarely happens. That's the problem. It's barely always "hate -> love", not "hate -> like" or "hate -> grudging respect".
