I used to run with some pretty hefty big bellied guys who knocked out a 5 mile run before breakfast every morning. You would think they were out of shape from looking at them, but they weren't. They could change their body type only so much with exercise, but they kept active from getting bigger.

How fast are these big guys running though? As a distance runner, I'm guessing they aren't knocking out 6-7 minute miles on their five mile runs like the guys on my track team are.

Distance running is great exercise, but you're really going to get the benefit if you're 1) built thin to begin with and 2) can run quickly.

The fuck are you talking about? I've *rarely* seen a character need to run a full mile on a TV show. Usually they're running to and from danger for an actually pretty short amount of time before killling it/escaping/whatever.
