Those are really cute pictures! I love the wide curve of her hips/thighs there. So elegant.

I agree. You have my vote, in this entirely imaginary election.

Also this is another reason why Between Failures is one of my favorite webcomics. Carol isn't even my favorite character in the cast (Nina is the best character) but she's still a great character and exactly being someone who's chubby but it's never played for a joke and she's never really cast as anything other than awesome, and also fairly attractive.

I love Between Failures!

I would add 'and not just shoved in the background wearing frumpy clothes'. I would love to see sexy, glamorous, fashionable big girls being cute as fuck everywhere.

I love chubby women! I think all my female OCs have love handles and thick thighs because I just adore how it looks on a woman.

Oddly enough, I like it more on men if they also have some muscles. Like, there's a sixpack under the belly, you just can't see it ;)

You have described my feelings about chubby men well, anon, good work ;) Add in some strong, big arms, and I don't know what to do with myself...

(Anonymous) 2013-05-04 08:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Me too, anon!

I makes me sad when there's fantastic and chubby characters and then they go on to become rail thin.

Or worse, have fantastic and chubby characters but still have some artists INSIST on drawing them thin. (I am looking DIRECTLY at you, Runaways comic.)

Oh my god some of the artists drew Gertrude SO THIN.

Also they gave her official weight as 125lbs lolol.

There's an artist on pixiv that draws really cute chubby girls. But I'm with you, OP.

I somehow get the feeling that that image is from some kinda of hentai. :/

(Anonymous) 2013-05-04 11:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Read Terry Moore's Strangers in Paradise. Francine, one of the three main characters, is not a thin girl.

those comics made me feel good about my body.

Seconding the Strangers in Paradise rec, and adding Jaime Hernandez's "Locas" stories in Love and Rockets. The main character, Maggie, is, like Francine, big, beautiful and sexy.

When I see secrets or sentiments like this I always wonder where all the chubby girl loving guys and girls are in real life. Because I've been a chubby girl (with a similar body type to the girl in the secret- a bit thinner when I was younger) all my life and all I've ever heard is how fat and disgusting I was.

Yeah, I'm bitter.

I'm sorry, OP. :/

People might be more reluctant to express that opinion in real life due to the chance of being picked on for it. I'm sure there are people out there who think you're cute but don't say anything.

EDIT: Realized that was a bit poorly worded. I don't mean that people who think you, specifically, are cute don't say anything out of fear of being picked on. I meant that there are some people who like chubby girls in general but wouldn't say so out of fear of being picked on, and that there are also people who think you, specifically, are cute but don't say anything just because they might think it's rude to comment on your appearance, or because they're shy, or whatnot.

I know that bitter vibe well but, bb, you are not disgusting. I hope you know that now. Chubby fucking happens. It can be controlled and fuck anyone who has made you feel bad for it, srsly. I wish I could hug you.

Hmm, I heard great things about this tea and have been only on it for one day. Maybe it'll help you? Google 'cumin coriander fennel tea'. It may sound icky but it supposed to be helpful. None of that should screw with you I think but check with your doctor first just in case.

Agree x1,000

Anon, you might like http://littlefroggies.tumblr.com/ (WARNING: SOMETIMES NSFW)
A lot of her characters are more voluptuous and she even has her own webcomic. Also her art is gorgeous!

Ugh, same. Chubby guys, too. Just... chubby characters in general. Yes please.

(Anonymous) 2013-05-05 02:30 am (UTC)(link)
Not only not played as a joke, but also without descriptions of how 'motherly' or 'matronly' they are, as if it's okay for them to be a fattychan because she's not a fun girlfriend, she's the one who ~takes care of you~.

I remember laughing my ass off a few months ago when a picture of a chubby girl from a dating sim was going around tumblr, with people talking about how progressive it was that there was a chubby girl as a dateable option...but all of her pictures were her with armloads of food, and they clearly could not read the Japanese description, because it contained lines like 'as you can see, she loves to eat' and 'she's just like your mom, taking care of everyone'. There was no mention of her being in any way attractive or desireable outside of being the 'secure' choice.

Where's that picture from? It's cute

Has an adorable fat girl character, if you don't mind furries.

(Anonymous) 2013-05-05 07:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Not OP

This seems to be an actual furry COMIC instead of just yiff. Thanks for the rec, anon! I like anthro characters, I just hate the material that's just about seeing wolves and foxes fuck.

(Anonymous) 2013-05-05 05:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Not having a go at your picture as this is kinda OT but, I hate it when pop culture claims that people who are average sized are plus sized or chubby. Even if in the modelling universe they are.

For things I make, I do make a conscious choice of a range from thin, to "average" to larger, and most have different body compositions anyway. I'd be pretty peeved if people then turn it into "normal" (i.e. thin) and "large" (i.e. anyone bigger than thin).
