It depends what you're reading/watching. The Kushiel series by Jacqueline Carey has accurate poly relationships described in a healthy and positive way. I'm hesitant to rec the True Blood series and Laurell K. Hamilton's books because even though they have multiple partnerships they read more like sex competitions for the girl.

For movies I liked Summer Lovers and Vicky Cristina Barcelona. Haven't seen Savages yet but I'm curious about that one.

I've heard some good things about Carey's series so I might look into that one.

I'll check out the two films you mentioned. I saw Savages but didn't care for it, though it wasn't really my kind of movie to begin with.

I have trouble believing there is anything healthy or positive in the Kushiel series. Isn't that the one about bdsm magic?

I don't know about the vampire series, never read it, but the Merry Gentry one has some interesting poly aspects. Some of it's competitive, but not the majority by any means.
