yep -- the stalker in question will also usually either mentally or verbally convince themselves, and some times their victim (or they'll try to), that the victim of their unwanted attentions is "playing the game" or even worse (ugh) "playing hard to get" when faced with outward, outright, "Ew. Gross." rejection, and they will just up the ante even MORE.
