We were so lucky with Kitano Tenmangu! We arrived in Kyoto on the very day of the flea market. Originally we thought it was the ?tojiro? shrine we needed to get to, but that was the 21st.

It was sooo coool with all the statues and shrines and I found stores all about cat things like cat bowls and cat statues and a similar store all about rabbits (it may have been the entire street actually, as there was a dumpling store with rabbits on the logo and hanausagi restaurant and giant miffy doll and just bunnies and kitties everywhere
