My boyfriend just asked me if I wrote this in my sleep. I could have. I hate the seemingly-pervasive idea that there is something inherently shallow, amateurish, or inferior about an ending where the characters you've grown to love save the day and reunite with their loved ones to the satisfaction of all concerned.
