You might want to see if you like the next Doctor, but if you don't like it, you don't like it.

My favorite season is when the Doctor gets Donna Noble as a companion. It's generally lighthearted and a good time. (It has a great bff vibe to it as well between the Doctor and Donna.)

If you need to tell her you don't like it, just break it to her slowly and gently. She'll get over it eventually.
