There is some merit to this, since it creeped me out and I do have mild claustrophobic tendencies to the point of not really being able to use elevators.

Oh wow, I missed how the modern people were supposed to be their reincarnations. Yeah now I do too...

out of curiosity, what about glass elevators? if you don't mind my asking

myself, i can barely stand elevators because motion like that really terrifies me (i doubt i'll ever ride a roller coaster, for example)

No idea. Never been in one. I doubt I'd be happy with it though, as they make me slightly nauseous--but I don't know if that's the motion or the closed space.

I hate roller coasters, unless they absolutely positively are guaranteed to not have any sharp drops or go upside-down. It could be a little of both honestly.
