Considering Ralph wrecked her car because he was under the impression she was unable to accomplish something and would ruin herself if so, that doesn't translate well to real life. If anything whatever your boyfriend did should have been honest and respectful of your ability to make your own choices, because I doubt you're a little kid cartoon character and you should be able to set your own limits.

Sometimes doing the wrong thing for the right reasons just means you did the wrong thing.

Ralph's actions there were that of a parent trying desperately to protect a child they thought would be very hurt or worse if they went through with this. He was under the impression Vanellope winning might have Sugar Rush unplugged, and then she'd be dead because she couldn't leave the game. It was akin to taking a toy from a child because they're chewing it to pieces and have choked on it once, and next time, you might not be there to help.

And it's this way because of what King Candy tells him.

^ Yeah this is always what the actions struck me as. Really reminded of Triton in The Little Mermaid there actually, if only because he saw the fascination with the human world as incredibly dangerous too...

Maybe I'm weird for drawing that parallel too, but whatever. It's how I saw it.

Any time the relationship between you and a significant other resembles how an adult treats a child, there's a problem in your relationship. Unless you mean that one time one of you got really drunk or really sick and the other one had to look out for them, for a while.

It's kinda weird you relate this scene with a previous relationship. It's hard to see the connection.

For me, I have a few collections and I love them a lot. They make me happy! So watching this scene was hard for me because I can really relate to the sadness Vanellope felt seeing her beloved race car destroyed in front of her. :(
